Why Should You Board Your Pets at an Animal Hospital?
All medications given to your pets are supervised by our trained veterinary hospital staff.
If an emergency ever does happen or a pet needs immediate medical care, our veterinarians and medical team are onsite for a quick response.
If your pet needs to update vaccinations before boarding, those can be done the day they arrive.
Your pet can also have a veterinary exam or other medical services needed performed during their stay.
Boarding Your Pets at Barry Veterinary Hospital in Miramar Beach
All boarded pets must be up to date on vaccinations. Canines must be vaccinated against rabies, DHLPP, kennel cough (Bordetella), and H3N8 flu (canine flu) and must have a negative fecal check for intestinal parasites. Felines must be vaccinated against Rabies and FVRCP.
If your pet is on a special diet or medication, please bring them with you. Otherwise, we feed all of our guests Hill’s Science Diet foods. Your pet will be examined for external parasites (including fleas & ticks) and if found, we will treat them at the owner’s expense.
Review our Boarding Policies and save time by bringing a signed copy with you when you arrive.
During hurricane season from June 1st until November 30th each year, special emergency provisions should be in place when bringing your pet(s) in for boarding at our hospital. Bring a completed Hurricane Season Boarding Addendum with you if boarding during hurricane season.
