Macy Trosclair, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Macy Trosclair is a south Louisiana native who received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2014. She completed a small animal rotating internship at Texas A&M University as well as specialty internship in zoological and aquatic medicine at North Carolina State University. Dr. Trosclair has a strong interest in zoological medicine, particularly reptiles and amphibians. Prior to joining the team at Barry Veterinary Hospital, she worked as the staff veterinarian for the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
As a veterinary student, Dr. Trosclair was one of the two student caretakers for LSU’s live tiger mascot, “Mike VI”. She was also a Morris Animal Foundation Veterinary Scholar, conducting research on alternative methods of gastrointestinal parasite control in exotic ruminant hoofstock at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
At Barry Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Trosclair provides care to exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, small mammals, invertebrates, and fish in addition to dogs and cats.
