Dr. Rick Barry opened Barry Veterinary Hospital near Sandestin in 1987. In 1992, the hospital was moved to its current location. Dr. Barry is a graduate of Louisiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine. A graduate of Lousiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Barry is a small animal practitioner whose skills include certification as one of the first veterinarians in our area to perform stem cell procedures for the treatment of severe arthritis. Dr. Barry and his family are the owners of a yellow lab and a Siamese cat rescue.
Dr. Jami Swift joined the Barry Veterinary team after graduation from Louisiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She has developed an extremely loyal following and is known not only for her veterinary skills but also for her compassion and communication skills with pets and their owners. She and her family are the owners of a chocolate lab as well as two very spoiled cats.
Dr. Stacey Wiggins became part of the Barry Veterinary Hospital family after graduation from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Knowledgable, caring, and companssionate, Dr. Wiggins quickly gained the trust and respect of both clients and staff. She and her husband share their home with two cats and a border collie mix.
